While Ted Rea was working in sales for a large telecommunications company, he started buying and selling quality used cars as a hobby. After five years of nurturing his hobby into a business, he chose the ideal location for his used vehicle dealership in his hometown of Leavenworth, Kansas. The Luxury & Imports showroom opened in 1999 with 15 vehicles for sale on the lot and quickly became successful. Ted soon turned his small venture into a larger organization with his brother, John. The Rea brothers opened their second and third locations in Junction City and Hutchinson, Kansas. Luxury & Imports has more than 300 quality used vehicles for sale across their locations at any given moment.
